Belles Original Draught is eight years in the making with our buddy Jack and the family at Pirate Life. We’ve crafted a crisp, hoppy and refreshing lager to go down a treat with good chicken, good mates and good times.

Originally planned as our house tap brew, we’ve gone all out and canned a few cases of this liquid gold, put into a sexy can and can deliver to your doorstep for times you can’t come to us.

The concept for the no-fuss draught came when Belles’ Director, Joss Jenner-Leuthart and Pirate Life Co-Founder, Jack Cameron caught up at Belles over some hot chicken and beers between the infamous 2021 lockdowns.

“I’ve been mates with Joss for a while now and Belles was actually established the same year as Pirate Life back in 2014. It’s amazing what they have been able to achieve in that time. It’s way more than good food and hospitality with these guys…they’re a formidable brand”  – Jack

Sampling an abundance of brews from cult American classics as well as a host of local selections, one thing was abundantly clear; hot chicken and a crisp, hoppy, slightly malt beer were a match made in heaven. And so Belles Original Draught was born.

“We wanted to create an easy drinking brew that went down a treat with our chicken or just with a few mates. Beer and chicken are already a vibe; we’ve just dialled it up by bringing our mates in the Pirate Life beer department into the family for this collab” – Joss

Belles Original Draught serves as a refreshing take on a traditional lager, brewed with beautiful Adelaide water and premium malt and hops, resulting in a clear pour with a transfixing golden hue.

To drink, Belles Original Draught is bright and full-bodied, showing tangerine, honeyed malt and a hint of savoury sage and herbal notes, combined with subtle aromas of lemon biscuit and white pepper.
